This one’s for the mac & cheese lovers who want comfort food without the carb crash. Our low carb penne soaks up a creamy cheddar and parmesan sauce right in the oven — no pre-boiling needed. It’s golden, bubbling, and full of that nostalgic, cheesy goodness you’ve been craving… minus the guilt. Perfect for winter nights, picky eaters, or whenever you want something warm, melty, and delicious on the table fast.

Ingredients

1 pack (200g) Qetoe Low Carb Penne (uncooked)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups milk or a cream/milk combo (e.g. 1 cup cream + 1 cup milk)
- 1½ cups grated cheddar
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ¼ tsp mustard powder or smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Extra cheese for topping
Directions
- Make the Sauce:
- In a saucepan, melt the butter. Pour in the milk/cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in cheddar and parmesan. Add garlic powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until melted and smooth — the sauce should be fairly runny so the penne can cook properly in the oven.
- 2. Add Uncooked Penne:
- Take the sauce off the heat and stir in 200g of uncooked Qetoe Penne. Mix until every piece is coated. It should be loose — this helps the pasta cook through.
- 3. Bake:
- Pour everything into a baking dish. Sprinkle with extra cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
- Then uncover and bake another 5–7 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
- 4. Rest & Serve:
- Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. The penne will be tender and the sauce creamy and thick.
