About Qetoe
Thank you for visiting our page. We really appreciate you taking the time to learn more about Qetoe and being part of our journey.
Hi, I’m Samuel Tew, founder of Qetoe.
Qetoe started from a very personal place.
A few years ago I began thinking more seriously about my health. Maybe it was a bit of a midlife crisis, or maybe it was just getting older and realising my body didn’t bounce back the same way anymore.
I didn’t love the carb crashes, the afternoon energy slumps, and if I’m being honest, the slowly growing beer gut. I wanted to take better control of my health, manage my blood sugar, and feel more energised throughout the day.
So I decided to try going low carb.
For me, it was one of the best decisions I made. My energy became more stable, the food crashes disappeared, and my weight naturally stayed in a healthy range without feeling like I was constantly dieting.
But there was one big problem.
Most of the foods I loved were suddenly off the table. Pasta, noodles, fried rice, big comforting bowls of soup. The kind of meals that make you feel full, satisfied and happy after eating them.
I tried a lot of the low carb alternatives available, but most of them just didn’t quite hit the mark. The texture was off, the taste wasn’t great, or it just didn’t feel like real food.
And I kept thinking the same thing.
Healthy food shouldn’t feel like punishment.
So I started experimenting in my own kitchen, recreating the comfort foods I loved but with fewer carbs and better ingredients.
What started as something I was making for myself slowly turned into something bigger as friends and family began asking for it too.
That’s how Qetoe was born.
Our mission is simple. We want to make comfort food healthier without sacrificing the taste and satisfaction that makes those meals special.
Because you shouldn’t have to give up the foods you love to eat healthier.
Comfort food can still be healthy. Low carb doesn’t have to be bland. And good food should always taste good first.
Thank you again for being here and for being part of the Qetoe journey.
Sam
